Bill`s Diner in Norwich

Waitress were easily over loaded! Manager was overwhelmed with only 9 of about 30 tables & 3 waitresses! My tea was part of their special, after my meal she brought the ticket & still hadn't brought my tea! When she finally brought the tea, there wasn't anything to put in it! I asked for honey but she was off before I could ask for milk! She never returned so I had to find some on another table! Food was just okay! Egg shells in my omelet! No too impressed!

Great homemade food, with large portions. Friendly atmosphere, relaxing. Wonderful Waitresses that are happy to help you with questions on choice selection on the menu. Be sure to enjoy a homemade dessert from their wide variety.

Food was ok! Waitress was really nice, took care of our needs...fast and friendly! Cooks in back need to listen to what waitress asks for!!!

We decided to go here because they were one of the only places open on labor day. Not really our first choice but ended up having a decent experience. There are a lot of reviews on here that say it's hectic and that everyone is running around when it's not that busy. It seemed to me like sense of urgency which is a good thing. Not a lot of restaurants have that. Especially in a small town. The food was good, the portions were large, and the service was on point. I left feeling full and satisfied. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The place was busy and there was a small wait but no big deal.

The bills burger was so good. This place is one of the few places I know that has putin fries. Desserts look super delicious and I wish I had room to eat it. I will definitely be back to try the deserts.

This diner used to be a great place to eat. As of late, within the last year this place has gone downhill. Sorry to see this happen. They will not be getting our patronage anymore.

Bills diner has the Best Homemade meals in N.Y. Service was great very friendly and YES I'll be back.

Bill's has the best breakfast. The best sausage links bar none. One of the main reasons I miss living in the area!

Food and service was good

Unfortunately forgot the pic. But the food was good. We both had the bacon cheeseburger cook the way we asked. With a huge slice of tomato,very ripe but still firm,& enough crisp fresh lettuce for the burger to make a side salad with along with the dill pickle. They had several sides to choose from,both went with the french fries perfectly cooked. A great cup of refillable coffee threw out the meal. Our server April was very busy with many tables but still polite personable and delivered service and table checks very timely.

Always a great meal! Never disappointed. My go to place when I'm in the area. Love it!

Went for lunch here with 9 people, had plenty of room for all of us at one table. Menu prices looked reasonable and had plenty of options. Breakfast all day like most small diners. Had daily specials including sandwiches and soups and I think maybe even dessert. Service was fast for serving 9 of us and we weren't the only group in there. Would go back for sure. Good food and good service

Food was ok, waitress we had was good & very friendly but waited after being seated for quite a few minutes to get service. We got service when a gentleman spoke to another waitress explaining we'd been waiting for quite a while.

So I'm from Rochester and was in town for work. This dinner was accrost the Street from the hotel I was staying at . let me Tell you. ...... A warm welcome had me sold. Then the super friendly staff. And not the fake friendly . But to top it off the food was out of this world , was absolutely amazing .

Absolutely the best food I’ve had in a diner , probably ever. Their steak sandwich is a hero roll with a big piece of steak that is so tender, it’s so easy to chew, and the flavor is delicious. I love this diner.

Gave us raw chicken. So waiter offered us a fish instead and the owner came out and told us he was NOT giving us anything else because it was not raw. If we still wanted to say it was raw then we could leave and never come back. 0/10 was the rudest person ever. Told the lady to give us an extra $20 because we obviously needed it. 😡🤬

Its a small place but can vary in ratings i like the dinner its good good food but i can't help but feel the staff depending on who you get as a severe will be a pleasant experience or a frustrating one where you need to run them down just for more coffee or ketchup S/P but overall good place to eat and spend your hard earned money

The broiled haddock was delicious, as was the open Face meatball sandwich (excellent sauce), the best part was the stuffed pepper soup (I do believe it was the best I ever had!). Friendly staff, great service, always love a diner atmosphere!

The Cheesteak was Incredible & it was a nice homey place to just sit & talk with my wife. Prices were fair & the service was good.

Bills Restuarant is a good place for great food and social gatherings

I am relating my experience at Bill.s Diner during the covid period. It isn't much different experiences I've had previously, except for the amount of seating. This is a typical upstate NY diner, perhaps better than most. It has lots of parking and clean bathrooms. The wait staff is attractive and friendly. To be fair, I've only had breakfast and lunch here, mostly breakfast. The food is pretty good. They are always checking to see if you need more coffee. My response to those with higher expectations, I just don't get your perceptions. If I have any criticism, it would be regarding vivid precautions. It would be better to serve salt, pepper, ketchup and the like in individual one use packages. That being said, the place was practicing safe measures. I would eat there again.

Had an amazing dinner this evening with family. Food was delicious and there are no complaints to be made. Couldn't be happier with service as it was on point.

Great food, large portions generally, low prices, old family dinner atmosphere. However, the place needs a facelift, most booths the seats are ripped and taped, ceiling needs replacing

I met 5 friends for dinner tonight (Sunday) at 4 PM. As in the past, the food was ok, but nothing special. The kitchen and waitress were very slow. My fries were cold and my burger missing the lettuce, onion and mayo. So by the time they came out, my burger was cold. It was frustrating!

The servers are absolutely darling! The food we got was so good! The Reuben The BLT the chicken and the scallops were all amazing! The service and the food are both a 10 in my book! We will definitely go back and tell all of our friends to as well!

Bill's dinner serves you a meal that the portions are huge for your money. I had the hot roast beef over toast and it was very good plus u get 2 sides. And a drink. Plus they have desert. When you leave there you are definitely full. Wow!

Very good service and the coffee was great. The London Broil was very good, but I couldn't get over the gravy being cold on the mashed potatoes. I would have said 4 stars, but cold gravy was a real mood killer. Again, very nice staff.

We went here for a late breakfast. The pancakes were very very good, the bacon was absolutely delicious, and the eggs were good. The breakfast potatoes were not that good and the steak in the steak and eggs was cooked medium well when it was ordered medium. Overall we were happy.
